Steel Section - Sheet Piling

REHABILITATION OF A LANDFILL

The Brandheide landfill is located on the city limits of Dortmund. It was used between 1959 and 1972 for the disposal of household waste, construction waste and tar sludge. To capture groundwater, the landfill was provided with an approximately 800-meter-long cut-off wall with sheet piles in lengths of up to 10.50 meters. To ensure long-term water protection, we executed the sheet pile walls with a coating on both sides and a durable interlock seal.
