NEW CONSTRUCTION OF A SHEET PILE WALL FOR SLOPE STABILIZATION

NEW CONSTRUCTION OF A SHEET PILE WALL FOR SLOPE STABILIZATION

The gravity wall in Gennerstraße in Hürth was to be replaced by a sheet pile wall clad with L-stones in spring 2018. For the executing construction company, we took over the entire technical planning of the sheet pile wall and supplied the necessary material. A total of 54 tons of L604 steel sheet pile sections in lengths of six to 9.5 meters were used.

The construction work was carried out in sections, i.e. part of the existing concrete wall was demolished and the sheet pile wall was installed in its place. Due to the existing historical buildings, we used pre-drilling and vibration for the installation. We produced the required radius at a road intersection with seven construction piles from our own production.

The project was calculated to take four weeks to complete. Thanks to our customized logistics concept and high-performance machine technology, it was completed in only 18 days.
