FLOOD PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF YUYAO IN CHINA.
The five-year plan 2016 to 2020 of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference aims, among other things, to improve the quality of life of its citizens. This also applies to flood protection. On this basis, a mobile flood protection system was installed along a length of approximately 4,700 metres of the Yuyao River in the municipality of Yuyao.
The very short delivery time posed a particular challenge. In addition, the customer was inexperienced and, in addition to technical expertise, also needed concepts for mounting and training for employees. Furthermore, parts of the production were to be carried out in China. We commissioned several Chinese and German companies to manufacture the approximately 5,000 stop logs and the approximately 1,500 anchor plates. The delivery from Germany was not by ship, but by rail. The entire production and delivery time was about three months.
In addition to the foundation, we also implemented suggestions for the storage concept. We also provided on-site training: one for the construction companies on how to install the system; and another for the team that sets up the Flood protection system at risk of flooding.
