The Brandheide landfill site is located on the outskirts of the city of Dortmund. Between 1959 and 1972, it was used to dispose of household waste, construction waste and tar sludge. A cut-off wall with a length of approximately 800 metres and sheet piles up to 10.50 metres in length was built to monitor the groundwater at the landfill site. To ensure long-term water protection, we executed the sheet piles with a coating on both sides and a permanent sealant.
