A new bridge was built for the freeway overpass at the Offenbach junction on the A3 freeway. There were a total of three construction pits for this new building.
A new bridge was built for the replacement of the motorway overpass at the A3 motorway near the Offenbach junction. A total of three construction pits were required for this new construction in the axes/ axles 10, 20 and 30, which were constructed using sheet piles from thyssenkrupp Infrastructure.
The challenge here was not so much the provision, but rather the ambitiously short time frame from ordering the material to delivery. The customer's request was to complete the construction of the excavation pits before Christmas.
Around 360 tons of sheet piles type tkL 606 and 607 up to 15 meters in length, including sealing and corner structures, were made available for axes 10 and 30 in a period of less than two weeks from the time the site was ordered. Some of the material was available in the Schaafheim warehouse, while another part of the profiles had to be prepared in the Ostrava plant in the Czech Republic, delivered and later processed in the bearing.
The first delivery date was scheduled for December 9, 2020, but could already be made on December 7. The last delivery took place on December 16. In total, just under one and a half weeks were needed for just-in-time deliveries and the construction pits could be completed as requested. In March 2021, the last 100 tons of tkL 605 for axis/ axle 20 were delivered on time.
