MICROPILE TITANIUM
ECONOMICAL AND SYSTEMATIC
In Germany, TITAN micropiles are regulated by the general building approval Z-34.14-209 issued by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt). These are micropiles (micro piles) for which the specifications of DIN EN 14199 in linkage with DIN SPEC 18539 are to be observed, unless otherwise specified in the approval.
Areas of application
- Construction pits in general
- Tie-back anchoring of retaining walls
- Underpinning and re-founding of bridges
- Securing against uplift
- Road expansion
- Strengthening of bridge abutments
- Remedial works on bridge piers and in harbour areas
- Foundations for high-voltage pylons, transmission masts, wind generators
- Catenary masts for railways
- Noise and sound barriers
- Avalanche protection
Advantages
- Can be adapted to any load profile thanks to different approved diameters
- Short execution times, since the load-bearing element functions as a drill string
- Can be used with all drilling rigs
- Can be used as a tension and pressure pile
- Low settlement at foundations with micropiles
- Durable corrosion protection through cement stone covering
- Filtering cartridges can be used at limited heights through the use of partial lengths of 1 to 3 m
